It May Be Spring but I Can't Resist Autumn

I've been a little slow to finish paintings lately, the tractor painting is still sitting the easel with no progress since my blog post about it.  However, I did finish a different painting that I started more than two weeks ago.

This painting is based on a photo I took several years ago up near Pineview Reservoir in Ogden Valley, Utah.  It was a dreary, overcast day which just wouldn't do, so I changed it be a bright, sunny day in the painting.  Such is the magic of art.
